This listing is for a genuine Land Rover spare wheel winch for the Discovery 5 L462.

The Discovery 5 suffered from a widespread problem of spare wheel thefts.

It's worth checking under your car to see if your wheel is there as you wouldn't necessarily realise it's missing until you need it!

The original Discovery 5 winch assembly design made it relatively easy to steal the valuable spare wheel located underneath the car!

All the thieves needed to do was cut the exposed metal cable to release the wheel.

Land Rover have released a revised design winch which restricts access to the cable.

This is listing is for the revised design - this is Land Rover part number LR163110 which supercedes part numbers LR112401, LR081592 & LR108517.

You can use this item to replace your original design winch to help prevent your wheel being stolen - or to replace your winch that has already had the cable cut!
