Roof Rack Mounting Clamp (Kit C)
for Land Rover Defender L663
This listing is for a roof rack clamp for the Land Rover Defender L663.
We noticed a lack of mounting options for the roof rack on the Defender (which is manufactured by Thule) - so we engineered our own solution!
We have put together several kit options - this is a 'bottom only' clamp which we have used to mount our roof tent (see pics).
Although you can use the T slots in the rails we
wanted something more chunky and adaptable that pread the load on the
underside of the cross rail.
This listing is for 1 clamp - you may need to purchase multiple sets of these clamps depending on your mounting application.
The kit consists of an injection moulded ABS clamping 'block' which fits the underside profile of the cross rail perfectly.
We also supply a UK manufactured stainless steel bottom plate.
The assembly is tightened down securely in place with the supplied stainless steel coach bolts and stainless nyloc nuts.
All of the metal parts in this kit are stainless steel so they will resist corrosion.
We are proud to say that all of the main components in this kit are designed in-house by us.
Note: As part of our constant improvement programme, the top and bottom blocks are now made out of injection moulded ABS and will differ slightly to how they appear in the photos (ribbed underside).
This kit is shaped to fit the Thule manufactured roof rack which is sold by Land Rover as an accessory for the Defender - unfortunately it will not fit the cross bars on the Defender as they are a different profile.
We also sell 2 other kit options including a bigger kit with a large top plate if you require a larger mounting area - see our other listings to purchase these.
